We had our goat show today and i got to show off Candy instead of Mon Cherie' because Mon Cherie' was too stubborn. Candy placed 5th out of 10th.

8/20/10 :)

Today we got to ride in a wagon pulled by Patches. Allie put a lot of gear on her and Joanie helped her to put the bars and attach the wagon. Alli and someone else rode in the front, three others rode in the back seat, and Joanie rode in the bucket to take pictures. We rode down to the end of Wright Road, and back to the farm. Then another group went, until everyone had ridden. It was really fun because we got to canter uphill.

Last night a storm set in and we couldnt ride the horses but I learned how to saddle Bella and put a bridle on Patches. They were very bored and kept falling asleep, especially Patches, who almost fell while someone was saddling her.

8/18/10 :)

Today two milking goats got in a fight. They were Suzanna.. and Mon Cherie'!!!! Mon Cherie tried her hardest, but the older Suzanna overcame my poor milking doe. Ashley took some awesome pictures of it all! But Mon Cherie''s spirit wasnt too bad crushed and she let me milk 0.8 lbs of milk out of her.

This morning I got to ride Patches all by myself!! With a few directions from Ashley, I easily was off and riding. Ashley said I did really well. I knew all the parts of the saddle and bridle!

8/17/10 :)

A light rain settled in this morning. We rode Patches and Bella today, Patches walking and Bella walking and trotting. Allie learned that Bella can canter now! I first rode Patches and Ashley said i did really well. After a few minutes, the people for either horse had ridden, we switched places and waited in line for the other. Bella was very sweet and was a bit hyper when Allie first got her out. Soon I got to ride her and she has a fast trot! I was bouncing up and down in the saddle, but it was fun! Too soon, the rain got too heavy and we had to end. Oh well, at least I have tomorrow to ride!

8/16/10 :)
Today we were assigned our goats. My baby goat was Fresca. He is black and white with a bit of brown. He is one of the older kids and wouldnt take his bottle right away. He eventually took it all.
Mon Cherie' is my milking goat. She has a black body with white spots. Her ears are black-and-white speckled and her legs are black, white and brown. I milked 0.7 lbs of milk out of her, which isnt a whole lot compared to the others. She cooperated well and is very sweet.
